Do You Know Who’s Quietly Watching You?
There is a question I find myself coming back to more and more in this season.
Not about strategy.
Not about growth metrics.
But something far more human.
Do you actually know who is in your community?
Not the numbers.
Not the open rates.
Not the clicks.
The people.
The ones reading your words.
The ones who continue to say yes to what you create.
The ones who feel something… even if they have never said a word.
Because behind every “subscriber” or “follower” is a real person.
With a story.
With a life.
With a reason they are drawn to you.
And sometimes, those quiet connections are the most meaningful ones of all.
The Moment of Noticing
Years ago, I was looking through my database and noticed a name.
It kept appearing.
She was opting in.
Registering.
Showing up in small, consistent ways.
We had never spoken.
But something in me said… reach out.
So I did.
It was a simple moment.
One message.
One decision to acknowledge what I had been seeing.
But that moment changed everything.
Seventeen Years Later
Seventeen years later, she is still in my life.
Not just as a contact.
Not just as someone “in my network.”
But as someone I genuinely love.
We have supported each other’s work.
Shared platforms.
Celebrated each other’s growth.
At one point, she flew to California with a friend just to meet me.
I remember that day so clearly.
I was struck by their presence. Their warmth. Their authenticity.
And I kept thinking…
They came all this way to meet me?
That moment stayed with me.
Because it reminded me of something powerful.
Connection is never one-sided.
When someone continues to show up for you quietly, consistently, and over time…
There is something real there.
The Relationships Already Around You
Just recently, she replied to one of my emails.
All these years later… still here.
Still reading.
Still connected.
And it felt like no time had passed.
That is when you realize:
This is not just a contact.
This is a relationship that was always there, simply waiting to be seen.
And now?
We are exploring new ways to collaborate.
She may be joining me on my TV show.
I may be joining her on her podcast.
A full circle moment.
All from one simple act of noticing.

A Different Way to See Your Community
So I want to ask you the same question.
Do you know who is in your community?
Who has been quietly saying yes to you?
Who already believes in you… without needing to be convinced?
Who might be one conversation away from becoming a collaborator, a client, or even a lifelong friend?
Because we often look outward for the next opportunity.
The next client.
The next breakthrough.
But what if it is already here?
Already inside your world.
Already connected to you.
Not waiting to be convinced…
Just waiting to be seen.
