Years ago, I was looking through my database and noticed a name.

It kept appearing.

She was opting in.
Registering.
Showing up in small, consistent ways.

We had never spoken.

But something in me said… reach out.

So I did.

It was a simple moment.
One message.
One decision to acknowledge what I had been seeing.

But that moment changed everything.

Seventeen Years Later

Seventeen years later, she is still in my life.

Not just as a contact.
Not just as someone “in my network.”

At one point, she flew to California with a friend just to meet me.

I remember that day so clearly.

I was struck by their presence. Their warmth. Their authenticity.

They came all this way to meet me?

That moment stayed with me.

Because it reminded me of something powerful.

Just recently, she replied to one of my emails.
