The Grocery Cart That Taught Me About Momentum
If you’ve been in my world for a while, you know I often talk about three pillars that shape every successful brand, and honestly, every fulfilling life:
✨ Clarity: knowing who you are and what you stand for
✨ Momentum: staying in motion, even when it’s messy
✨ Accountability: surrounding yourself with people and systems that keep you aligned
Today, I want to focus on the one that keeps everything moving: momentum.
Momentum doesn’t always look like hustle. Sometimes it looks like faith. And sometimes… it looks like a runaway grocery cart. 😉
The Grocery Cart Lesson
A few weeks ago, I was leaving the store with one too many bags in hand (because why take two trips, right?). My cart was full, and so was my mind. Emails to answer. Projects to finish. Flights to book.
I let go of the cart for just a second to adjust my purse strap.
And wouldn’t you know it? The cart started rolling.
At first slowly… then faster.
I chased it, laughing, half-mortified, half-grateful it wasn’t heading toward anyone’s car.
When I finally caught it, a man nearby called out, “That’s one way to keep your momentum going!”
We both laughed. But it stuck with me.
Because he was right.
Momentum Isn’t Always Graceful
Momentum doesn’t always feel smooth or polished. Sometimes it wobbles. Sometimes it veers off course. Sometimes it rolls faster than you planned.
But the important part is this: it’s moving.
You can’t steer a parked car, or a parked dream.
When you’re in motion, even imperfectly, clarity starts to expand. Energy builds. Confidence grows.
That’s why I often remind my clients:
Don’t wait for the perfect time to act.
Momentum creates clarity, not the other way around.
Accountability Keeps It Going
Momentum rarely lasts in isolation.
You need people who remind you why you started.
You need systems that support your growth.
You need accountability, not as pressure, but as partnership.
Because momentum that’s supported is momentum that lasts.
Your Gentle Nudge
Where in your business, or your brand, have you lost momentum?
Where are you waiting for perfect clarity before taking the next step?
Here’s your gentle reminder (and your grocery-cart moment): start rolling.
Even a small push in the right direction can set big things in motion.
With love, clarity, and unstoppable momentum,
